Enough of Solitude
Enough of Solitude
Salam… It has been a loooong break for me writing on this blog. All these while there are a lot of things to do, places to visit, sceneries to enjoy and of course personal problems and quirks to delve into. Alhamdulillah all is done and my fingers are now free again and anxious to prance on ye ol’ faithful keyboard again.
It’s nice to get away and be detached, for some time, from all national and political issues that continue to beset this wonderful country like a torrential downpour. But still no man is an island. No matter how hard we try to get away from the world, society and its antics, reality has a natural way to bring us back into the fray. So, enough of solitude.
For me, things that had occurred for these past few months is nothing different or better than this nation had faced soon after the last general election. The bickering between the ruling party and the opposition seems eternal with no hint or sign that it will end in a well mannered manner.
The most interesting issue so far is of course all the hustle and tussle in Perak. With a state government that is uncertain, which is able to change, re-change and change back again within hours of timeframe, no entrusted work can be effectively done for the benefit of the rakyat.
To all those who are voted into office please stop this nonsense and buat kerja! A line of distinction between personal importance and of the public must clearly be drawn.
I wish to quote:
“If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens, you can never regain their respect and esteem. It is true that you may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time” -Abraham Lincoln-
Hmm… enough of politicians with their never ending drama… Perhaps I will later write on my recent travels. Insyallah.
